Curriculum

Seymour Hill Primary School prides itself on a homely, friendly atmosphere with a curriculum suited to the needs of all the pupils. Our aim is to offer children a broad-based, well-balanced curriculum which develops the whole child.

Seymour Hill Primary School has a strong Christian ethos and principles based on Biblical values.  These include, honesty, respect for others and supporting those in need.  The school also openly welcomes children from all religious traditions and cultures.  The staff is always aware of the spiritual needs of children and we try to ensure that their various needs and the wishes of their parents are catered for and respected.

The cross curricular skills are the key basic requirements which young people need to achieve through their education- Literacy, Numeracy and ICT. It is particularly important that children learn to be literate and numerate, the other skills are just as important because they are what employers are looking for, so pupils need the opportunity to develop these skills in school.
